Alyx shouldn't be your only reason to VR, you will be disappointed. The replay-ability just isn't there because once you solved the puzzles, the challenges just aren't there. However there are other titles out that fun and if you use a program called VorpX you can play a lot of flat games in VR.
Half-Life: Alyx has been a watershed moment for virtual reality gaming. Not only did it revive the long-dormant and much loved Half-Life franchise, but it saw the developers at Valve push the Oculus Quest is my first VR headset and yeah I also have a blurred vision (GTX 1070 Ti here on Ultra Fidelity). Not only in Alyx but even in the headset's main menu the text isn't very clear (a lot of aliasing). I wear it properly, used IPD slider numerous times, wiped the lenses and honestly nothing really helped. The new Half Life: Alyx is extremely overrated! So the new VR only Half Life game came out recently and people are making statements about it being the best VR game ever, a true "game changer", 10 out 10 perfect, etc. Yetit does literally nothing new in the VR gaming world and what it does it doesn't even do WELL. bW2LpVW.
