Every set of aligners gently moves teeth closer to their proper position. Unlike metal braces which can be seen from a distance, Invisalign aligners are hard to see even when someone is up close. That’s why so many people refer to Invisalign aligners as invisible braces. Both teens and adults are eligible for Invisalign treatment.

As I noted, a temporary anchorage device serves as this fixed anchor point instead. Depending on your needs, I may push or pull a tooth (or teeth) in a certain direction directly from the TAD. I can also use it to anchor a tooth in place so that it doesn’t move while your braces wire shifts its neighbors into place.

Symptoms of periodontitis can include: Swollen or puffy gums. Bright red, dark red or dark purple gums. Gums that feel tender when touched. Gums that bleed easily. A toothbrush that looks pink after brushing your teeth. Spitting out blood when brushing or flossing your teeth. Bad breath that won't go away. Orthodontists/dentists receive their training from Invisalign, and Invisalign is adamant that gum recession occurs due to the movement of teeth and not the trays being cut incorrectly. Jen-o-cide • 4 yr. ago. Yep! Sometimes they don't go up all the way or if you have an attachment or power ridge they might not anyway! •. This happened to me on my first tray, I would say the aligner were ~1-2mm away from my gum line, I spoke to my ortho and he basically said it’s okay, and its so the aligner wouldn’t cut into my gums
